The boot release button on the dash will not work is there a fuse listed for this. 2002 2.2 cd
-
You need to hold it down for about 3 seconds, and I believe the engine needs to be stopped for it to work.

I think they changed the setup so it will work with the engine running... mines a 2002 02 car and it will. It is ~3 seconds though. I'd say it took me a moment to realise but that'd be a terrible pun...

mine's an earlier facelift where the key needs to be out to open it, and its just a one touch press, which i prefer :D
-
Ahh, OK. Mine is also a later one. Definately needs a 3 second press. Didn't scratch my head at all before I worked that out. ::)

Well, bu99er me! That was worth getting the slippers wet for!
That's been bugging me since I got my 2.6. The boot on my 2.5 opens instantly so I figured the switch on the 2.6 was nacked. Ive had it to bits , swapped it with the other one in my 2.5, everything.
Next time I'll Please read the manual :-[

Yep, I have made the same mistake myself! I guess we are an impatient lot who have not got the patience to hold the button in for 3 seconds...!
