Quick Q for the experts ....
As you may know my car was "dinked" damaging the front bumper/rubber insert -- at least that is all the damage I can see ...
Driving this morning (very early :( ) it was obvious that the headlight pattern on that side was wrong .. it appears to be much lower than it used to be. I cannot see any way the actual headlight has moved, so I'm guessing the HID adjustment is fully down for some reason.
Q1. Do the HIDs adjust individually or together? ( left one appears in the "right" place )
Q2. How do I check that the HID servos are moving ?
Q3. As I have no warnings displayed is it likely to be the suspension sensor or would this affect both ?
Q4. How is the servo attached to the light unit? ( could the "dink" have jarred something off ? )
Any advice gratefully received :)

maybe something snapped,
motor on these is fast and quiet so hard to sot moving, but guess you could point car at a wall, lights on and jack it up and see if the light moves.
There is an Xenon excerise program tech2 can run to check it all out.
Would expect a Healight fld vison messgae on the mid if the car knows they are knackered.

Yesterday I parked my car in a space with a wall about 10 feet away. Switched lights on and I saw them move up the wall together. I'm guessing (and I'm NO expert!) that when I last switched them off I was facing uphill or on a bump or some such so they had adjusted down. When I turned them on they must have self adjusted back up to account for the cars current position. This seems to be the answer anyway.
So maybe park car at odd angle on a ramp with lights on. Switch lights off move car to level facing a wall then turn on and see if they move. Sounds like the adjuster is broken.

I suspect the headlight is busted.
1) Indivudually
2) as other have said
3) not sensor
4) attached to back. More likely adjuster has broken.

okies .. have done as advised .. and the nearside one moves fine .. offside is stuck fully down.
Looking at the rear of the light .. on the "moving" one there is a small diameter plastic rod .. about 1/16" that moves with the light movement, on the "non-moving" light this pin sticks out about 1 1/4 ". I've tried gentle pressure on the end .. no movement ... I'm guessing the light has failed internally ??
Any ideas if I can do anything .. or am I looking at a new light ? :(
As this light was only purchased from VX in August I'm going to be looking at a free replacement .. but the guy who changed it is not sure if the motor will be covered .... WTF ??? surely the light is a light is a light .. if it fails it gets replaced ??
Any advice ?

The thing is, you will probably have to prove that yourl ittle prang was not the cause of the light failing otherwise I doubt you will get a free replacement.
