Title: Red Omegas
Post by: GastronomicKleptomaniac on 04 October 2007, 01:38:32
 Ey up

Think this is only my second post, I've been lurking quite a bit.

I'm hunting down a nice V6 Omega... one for sale is described as "red" and there's no pictures. It's an Mv6, quite a late model I think. Now... is this going to be in a solid (I'm thinking... Corsa Flame Red) or metallic (that hotrod candy-apple colour)? I don't recall seeing one of either...
Also, am I right in thinking that true MV6s are top-spec models, while plod MV6s were high HP etc, but lower=specced interior?

 Regards
Pete

On closer inspection, they seem ot have added "metallic rubens red" - what do we think of the colour, chaps? http://imageserver.autoexposure.co.uk/autoedit/AETA40921/AETV35490708_1b.jpg

ETA pic of Omega in the colour... not the sameo ne I'm looking at though.

I've seen some red MV6 omega's for sale, I believe they come from Irish plod ... so would be basic spec if that's the case ...

Hmm. Having watched Road Wars et al... wouldn't fancy an ex-police car. Yes, meticulously maintained, but there's i) the low spec, ii) the whole speed bumps at 30-40-50mph, and iii) wouldn't like to think how many fluids have been soaked into the seats...

I'm making enquiries, waiting for a callback about it now... before I drive 230-odd miles to see it. :)
