Title: Side light bulbs
Post by: bates1963 on 08 December 2007, 13:51:39
Hi,

I just got some new dip-beam bulbs and found fitting them a doddle.

I also got a pair of free blue sidelight bulbs, but I can't beleive how cramped in there they are.

Would I be right in thinking that these are fitted in through the front of the headlamp?

Thanks in advance

Side lights are fitted from the same side of the head lamp as yoour dipped lamps were. The side light lamp is a push in fit into the holder which in turn is also a push in fit on the back of the head light unit. Be careful that the side lamp doesn't fall out of its holder into the head lamp! It's a right tw4t to get it back out!  ::)

Yes it is really hard to get to - some people say they can just get their hands in, but last time I changed mine I had to remove the air box and battery to gain access.  If you are going to remove the battery just make sure you do it within a minute of turning off the ignition so you don't set off the alarm.

I think you mean 15 secs!  ;)
