Are there any Stainless steel exhausts available for this car, its a saloon.??
I have done a check google but cant see nothing, checked Magnex's site they do all vauxhalls but the Omega.
Also can it have Cat bypasses put in, or is it just cat backs we can get.
Thanks, Mark. :y :y :y

The cheapest de-cat you will get (for both cats) is std VX ones with the innards bashed out - do it on an already buggerd pair though and save yours for the MOT.
Still looking for a backbox myself. :'( Saying that, Powerflow will make you one while you wait.

so will it not pass an MOT with de-cats???
Can it not be re-tuned???

No, after 1992 all cars must be fitted with power sapping cats to help reduce emissions. :y

Why should I have a catalytic converter?
If your car was fitted after 1st August 1992 with a catalytic converter from new, you need to have one for the MoT. It needs to be in good working order to comply with the Government's emissions legislation. The engine has been designed to work with a Cat and besides giving out toxic emissions, the performance will be reduced if your Cat is not working properly. You will fail the annual MoT if you either it is not present or it is not in good working order.
Can I remove my Cat?
If your car was registered after 1st August 1992 you must have the Cat present and working for the MoT. Previously registered cars can have the Cat permanently removed.
Why do people want to remove their Cats?
Without a Cat the engine gives more power and reduced petrol consumption.

loophole time ;)
if you car is meant to have a cat, but has an engine fitted that pre-dates cats, the MOT is based upon the engine, therefore a non-cat test is done.

Sebring and Bastuck also have listings for stainless back boxes for the Omega and I think Steinmetz have one as well.

Just phoned a local MOT garage and he said the following:
As long as the car passes the emissions test then it doesnt matter wether cat(s) are present or not though in 99.9% of cases it wouldnt pass the emissions due to the engine being designed to run with a cat.
