I have an Omega b `97. The seatbelt light doesn`t come on when you turn the key! I have checked the light bulb-its not blown. Is it possible a relay could be the problem ? and if so where can i find it located?
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

The seat belt light isn't used on a 97 Omega (is it used on any Omega? :-/) - I'm surprised there was even a lamp fitted. Does any car need a lamp to tell you when you need to put your belt on? As said on another post I recently used an Astra H, which has a lamp to tell you to put your belt on, if you ignore it, it then f***ing buzzes at you! >:( Do we have to be nannyied(sp?)

Seatbelt light not operational on UK models.... where are you based? Are you in the UK? If so no worries, all is well. ;)

i am based in Greece. Its not about being "nannied" but understanding whether something is wrong...and if so is it of any importance? Is it worth fixing.

The only light i've seen come on when i'm not wearing my seat belt is a blue flashing one in my mirrors ;) ;)

In general, seat belt warning circuits use a sensor in the seat to tell if someone is sitting in them It might be worth checking under the seat for loose wires.
Also, the Airbag warning light can look like a seatbelt light, on an Astra anyway.

I just got a new exchange cluster from Vauxhall and the seat belt bulb was not fitted so it does look like it's not used (as said above). On my previous cluster I did fit a bulb but it never came on.
