Sorry guys...I have to make a quick decision....by tomorrow dinner time really (Sunday).
I've been offered some great, practically brand new tyres and 5 stud alloy wheels that only did 50 miles on a Subaru. The chap said he KNOWS they fit a Vectra.
They are 205/45/17" and I want to plonk them on my CD which currently has 205/65/16. I assume they will fit.
Is there anything I need to know or should be aware of, AND could I fit say 55's or even 65's again at some point if I found the ride to be a bit hard....which I assume it will be on 45's.
Any urgent advise or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know if the stud holes fit, and if it the same offset... but the Omega wheels are 7J wide for the 16" and 7.5J for the 17", if the wheels is 17" and 205 it will probably NOT be 7.5J, but much less, and this means you will never be able to fit the correct tyres for the Omega.

In a word...no...Subaru PCD 100...Omega PCD 110...so extra 10mm gap between the studs.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO ...so I'm kinda stuffed then.
So I assume the Vectra and the Omega are not the same either, because he sais they fit the Vectra...
Rats ! Never mind.

Hi if the wheels on offer are cheap enough, why not but them and then sell them on Ebay or some thing. :y
Merry Xmas

Funnily enough thats where I found them on offer...they didn't sell and as the chap lived close to me...I made him an offer which it looked like he'd accept...

not sure whether the old vec and new vec are the same fitment, but the new vec is the same as the omega
205/45/17 arent the recommended size tyre for an omega on 17s also

Why not buy them from him on the basis they will fit your Vauxhall, wont take 5 mins to fit one. I'm sure he wont mind if you change and check one of the wheels outside he's house as long as he's not expected to get he's hands dirty.

with the wrong PCD, it is possibly to get wheels to fit. Cannot balance out the vibration. My PCD was 2mm out.
Get the right wheels is my advice

Thank you for your advise guys......will keep looking then...
