Title: Wandering idle speed
Post by: The Barge Captain on 17 December 2007, 00:36:57
Out and about today I noticed that the idle speed was sitting at 500 rpm (V6) then climbing to 1500 / RPM for a while then dropping back to 1000 rpm.
No error lights or strange noises and drove OK

My suspicion is ICV, or possibly an air leak, but couldn't hear anything whistling when i looked under the bonnet with the engine running.

Any thoughts?

I would say an air leak.

My V6 has been stalling a bit on LPG in the extreme cold weather, but a re-map seemed to solve this tonight :)

Not hard to clean ICV 10 minute job, may as well do that anyway and see...
