Hello
Does anybody have the torque value for the nut on the Aux belt tensioner (the one that holds the tensioner wheel onto it's backplate)
Thanks

1 grunt or 40Nm.....

LOL
Thankyou... Thought I could just slip the belt off and swap the pulley over but unfortunately I now see you have to take the cable tray off for the tensioner to clear it.... to do that the bagpipes really need to come out as well!!!
Job for the weekend now I think!
Thanks for the quick reply. :y

You can just pop the belt off and remove the pulley....takes about 10 minutes all in.
Remember, its just the pulley not the whole tensioner assembly.

Agreed - cable tray should be able to stay put either way...

When I pop the belt off, upon releasing the tension the idler wheel wants to move up to where the cable tray is, I need to release the tension because the nut needs to be undone the opposite way to the pressure i'm applying to the tensioner if you see what I mean?
I'm probably missing something obvious here!

It does move up towards the tray but stops on an end stop before it touches it.

Having changed mine a week ago I can confirm all they ^^ have said !! 15 minutes.. nothing else needed to come off, I went clockwise first to remove the belt, then undo it in the direction of tension (anticlockwise) to remove the pulley, then new pully 40Nm clockwise then refitted the belt :)
And the advice I was given also saved me £25 !! only bought a pulley .. not the whole darned thing :)

I'll have another go on Sunday in the daylight!
