Since the weather has been so cold, my idle is not reliable.
On petrol, when cold, it falters occasionally and seems to miss a beat at idle only.
On gas, it cuts out when stopping until fully up to temp. And when up to temp on gas, still "hunts" quite a lot, until the engine is really warm. The evaportor is too hot to touch.
I've just got some carb cleaner and am soaking the ICV (nice easy job) but is there anything else I should consider?

EGR valve?

Hmm... you think it might be sticking open?

Dunno. I've never had one ;)
... But they are supposed to cause dodgy idling if they don't seal.
On the LPG idling it might be worth getting a laptop in there and having a look at the readings. LPG pressure holding up OK? LPG and evap. Temperature?
I wonder if the vapour temperature sensor is picking up a bit of heat soak? Then again, if it clears once it's 100% warmed up that's unlikely?
Have a look and see if the two lambda sensors are cycling or rich / lean. Also see if the stalling coincides with a change in injector PW perhaps?

Cleaning the ICV seems to have sorted things..... I'll monitor

Not put butane in instead of propane have you ???? :)

Thinking about putting inappropriate gases in an LPG tank, imagine what you could do with a 70l tank of nitrous oxide in the boot.... [smiley=evil.gif]
I suspect the tank would have to be a bit more substantial though :o

Methinks the block would also need some reinforcement !!!!! But what a beast for the few seconds it might last !! :)

BAH
Checked all the software, and it's fine. Temp is 50deg, pressure is 1.5bar... it just gives the occasional "falter" when idling on gas, and hunts a bit. Worse when cold, but happens all the time now.
On petrol, it actually feels OK
So I'm not so sure it's the EGR?
I have changed the ICV for a known good - no joy
Beggar!

Have a look at the graphs on the LPG tuning software. Does anything odd happen to either of the Lambda signals when it falters?

From memory, the voltage increases a bit when it hunts upwards, that's all..

Thought the EGR only affected the cruise revs, not idle.....

I must shamefully admit that I can't remember! As far as I recall the EGR is fully closed at WOT, and fully closed at idle, and opens under cruising conditions, but I may be wrong.
I guess it could still be sticking open a tad when idling...
