Well, he who never made a mistake never made anything!
Remember I cleaned out my evaporator on the project car, and the car wouldn't run on gas afterwards?
Driving down the motorway tonight, it occured to me - although I cleaned it out and sucesfully attached it all back up - I didn't refill the cooling system with coolant, so there would have been no water in the evaporator at all.
Surely, without any water in it, the car won't contemplate running on gas, hence my problems?
I'll pour some in tomorrow, and see what happens!!!!
DOH :-X ;D

Correct, I am... but it would still be nice to make the front end LPG work, even if just for whoever buys it
I guess it won't take long to pour some water in the thing and see if it runs ;D

being as the evaporator reles on heat to change the gas from liquid and the gas ecu wont allow it to switch the gas system on till the evaporator reaches at least 35degrees temp, I thnk you may have answered your own question James!!!! :y

The winches at the gliding club use a chevy 502ci V8 on LPG (mixer) only. No petrol for starting.
I used to fly with a group of guys from dawn on Saturday mornings throughout the winter and very quickly learnt that when it's sub-zero, you need to get the winch running before you take it out of the (gently heated) hangar otherwise it's a real struggle!
I also learnt that when unscrewing the filler hose you need your gloves on if you don't want to weld your hands to it with ice!
