Now this is really the toughest of tough calls, IMO..... ;D
Given the exactness of the RAF and the BoB flight and the corners sometimes cut by Haynes, not sure what the end result would be...... :-/
-
Ummmmm....... :o ;D
-
I wouldn't have thought there would be enough Spitfires left to warrent printing a manual :-/
-
if HAYNES win result will be plane crash :(
-
Never heard such a crackpot idea. Bad show, Chaps ;D

Pitty my old mate Wally ain't with us anymore, he was a spitfire mechanic during the war.
I remember one dinnertime sitting in the canteen as Wally ran me through taking the prop off one of them.
Bet he could have taught Mr Haynes a few tricks.

Still trying to work out how to unskin my knuckles.
-
the other thing of course is that they'd just list how to remove and change complete assemblies. Anything complicated like actually repairing a gearbox would be "this work is best entrusted to a specialist" ::)

OK, so if I get the book, can someone else find the readies for the plane? ;) ;D ;D ;D

Great website Nick. Just like Autotrader for planes. I can get a plane for less than the price of a new Mondeo. Result :y
