Just went to drive to the inlaws and found I had no dipped beams.
Changed a bulb, and reseated the other and they're back on.
However, I noticed that on both lights the bulb/reflector assembly is loose, i can see a gap in the corner closest to the grill where it looks like it should be flushed up. I can move both lights around by hand and can tell that if I go over a bump they must be moving.
I did feel that they were not very bright previously and I have been flashed a few times.
My question is how should the bulb/reflector be attached and how do I go about repairing this ?
Many thanx

Sounds like some ham fisted muppet has bust the adjusters. A difficult repair if they have :(

Absolutely - if the reflectors are loose then either one or both of the adjusters inside has broken
Almost impossible to repair so its new headlights I'm afraid :-/

Oh bugger !
Anyone got any cheap ??
::)

A bit like Hen's teeth
Be wary of buying on e-bay - they quite often suffer from the same problem hence put up for auction in the hope that it will not be noticed
Even a supposedly specialist Omega Breaker has tried to sell me one that was damaged. I got my money back but not the cost of the return postage
There are new pattern headlamps on e-bay for under £100 the pair but steer clear of the black ones, they are illegal

are you going to give me a clue ?
or do you want to play 20 questions ??
How is the bulb/reflector attached to the lens ?
-
its quite involved bud you have to separate the clear lens from the black body !! once inside you will find the small black adjuster inner of the lamp has broken !! i have repaired mine and others with activated super glue !! drys very rapidly and very hard !! takes a few applications to make it strong but works bud !!

can be repaired by removeing front lens covers and removeing lamp internals. Fiddly job but can be done
