The 3.0 camshafts are not the same as the 3.2 ones.
3.2
All 4 camshafts are the same - 24456976
3.0
Inlet - 905400003
Exhaust - 905400002
So no, I would say that you probably cant fit 3.0 cams although we realy need profile info to make a true judgement.

It'd be interesting to know what the differences are...
It could be that they fitted milder cams to the 2.6/3.2, I guess (as they did away with EGR and SAI) so maybe even a 3.0 cam upgrade for a 3.2 would be interesting?
As you say, we need to know the specs. If I'm bored one day I'll whip the cam covers off and get the DTI out.

How about the 2.6 cams then - are they the same as the 3.2?
-
No, yet another different part number but, all 4 cams again are the same part.

Hmm - definately some room there.
So I wonder how the profiles are different - get the DTI out Kevin!
I suppose all the bore centres and journals are the same

Be careful who's watching when you get your DTI out! :o
