Title: 10W 40 Semi Synthetic Oil
Post by: A380 Elite on 06 October 2007, 10:42:38
Went to my local VX dealer this morning to by some parts.

Long story short, i miss understood gentelman said.  :-[

By 4 for the price 3, me thinking, 3 x 3ltr's + 1ltr of oil free, ok i'll have that. :)

Turns out, the special is, by 4 x 5ltr's for the price of 3, cost inc. VAT £30.75.  :D

Devide by 4 x 5ltrs = £7.69 per 5 ltr.

Or  £8.69 + £1.53 = £10.22 with T/card.
Normal price, without using a T/card £21.80 + VAT = £25.62 per 5 ltr.

It could be cheaper? ( his computer is not working) and i dont think he charged me for 5ltrs of red Antifreeze. :y

Note.
Trade card used or in my case, my Autobahn Stormers trade card.

Part no 93165216

Hope this helps, good luck.

I think I recall hearing that it expires at the end of this year?

May be thinking of something else...

Also, make sure they understand that you want 4x5 litres. They gave me a 20 litre drum in a box on a trolley and I didn't look what was in the box until I'd got it to the car ::) .. by which time the parts department were out to lunch >:(

Didn't cost much different, it's just much more convenient in 5l containers.

Kevin

James, just sent you mail.

I've made 1 person happy X25XE. ;D

This made me happy, but I was not happy to find that the dealer will no longer accept my ABS card saying that it is not set up. >:(  I know for a fact that it was set up and the parts block said that I had to phone on Monday and speak with the parts manager.  So, instead of getting 4 5L containers, I left with 2 and the 2 oil filters that I wanted.  I did get 15% off the filters though, but still not as cheap as the last time. :'(
