OK, I've decided the ride is a bit to "wallowy" and soft.
Just over 90K on the clock.
I don't want to go the whole hog with shox, springs, camber kits and lowering, like I did on my Elite. Although I was well pleased with the ride and handling I must admit !
Anyhoo, anybody have any suggestions as to what Shocks would be best just to stiffen things a bit. I know any new shocks would firm up the ride, but I'd like to go a little bit stiffer again.
(And before our resident comedians start...Viagra is not going on the list !!)

bilstiens or konis bud !! looking at getting some for mine front shocks are knocking like mad !! >:(
-
I'd go for Bilsteins, but they're not cheap! Budget on £400+ for the set.

£79 each for fronts £46 each rears !! :y
-
Bilstien do standard rate and upgrade rate shocks.....
I was quoted 350 for a set that would have been OE on an MV6, now my understanding is they have a slightly harder shock rate than standard
-
yes thats what i have been told as well jay !! my fronts are knocking and dont know if to go genuine vx or bilstiens or konis !! :o

Bilstein B4's are slightly harder than standard and a full set can be got for sub 200 notes!
You can get them here:
http://www.balancemotorsport.co.uk/products.asp
VNE4480 (front 3.0) - 46.26 each inc
BNE2861 (rear 3.0 saloon) - 32.69 inc
There are others like the B6 sport and B8 sprint......much harder though.
To get the price on the balance motorsport site you need to get the part number from the Bilstein site first.
The best compromise was to have Irmscher springs (lower by 30mm) and bilstein shocks....but irmscher springs are like rocking horse muck.

what about the mv6 mark ?? ::)

what about the mv6 mark ?? ::)
Bilstein dont list shocks for the MV6 at all......best bet is to use 30mm lowering springs with teh OEM shocks.
-
so do the springs differ say from the elite to the mv6 bud ?? :(

Pre-facelift the springs are the same and the shocks do the lowering.....they changed this on the facelift models so the springs also do the lowering.
Hence, unless you fit genuine MV6 shocks, you also need lowering springs
-
dont suppose you have part number and price for mv6 shockers mark ?? ;)
