Hi Guys
Just done a search but couldn't find any info.
The problem i have is when the car is cold, i start it up, select gear but coming back of full lock it feels as though the pump stops pumping for a second or two, it just goes rea heavy but its then ok.
Just had the MOT and nothing was picked up. I've got a spare steering box and pump from the Estate i,m breaking but before i star ripping it all parts has anyone got any ideas

quick ones to check but i think its your pump that might be on it way out.
Check your Stering Fluid Level and with yours being a 2.5 check the power steering fuse but i think thefuse will be ok

cheers bud,
Its done 111763 miles so i'll change the fluid first, meant to do it the other week while i was doing the service but ran out of time as the old R/C gaskest needed doing....bloody things.
I'll check EPC once i get back to work as there was an update on the PAS Pump but i can't remember the year change. I knoe the update involved the pump and plumbing

If You Fluid is up to the level and is pink it should be ok.
Had a Chat with The Boy and laidback and acouple of the other lads about power steering fluid and they say it normally lasts the life of the car unless you have it on full lock of ages and ages and the fluid degrades
I think it must just be the pump

hi there my car done this when the steering idler had play (ever so slight)
does it wonder on un level surfaces??
to check jack up n/s/f wheel (Pass side) and check for play by holding wheel at 1/4 past 9 and moving back and forth you made need someone underneath with a torch watching the arm for movment on the bush. :y
