Hi there.
I have a tourer 2.5 estate (V6) and I noticed that there is a button situated on the right hand side in between the steering wheel and the headlight controls. It is had "Tm" marked on it and can't seem to find anything about it in my manual......Can anybody shed some light?
Thanks in advance

Traffic Master Oracle...

Traffic Master
It's a service that you subscribe to that gives you traffic information for motorways and main roads.
If you press the Tm button it should mute the head unit and announce something like 'Traffic Master, licence expired, call 0990.........', if not then it's probably been disconnected.

that will be the traffic master button. back in the day before sat nav vauxhall fitted Traffic Master to certain models.
What would happen is you hit the TM button and you would get real time traffic updates.
If you press the button and nothing happens then its not registered anymore and you would need to contact TM to sort it out. If it was me i wouldn't bother as its an annual subscription and what with the price of portable sat nav systems now theres not much point.
A good portable sat nav system like a Tom Tom will give you alot more info than Traffic Master, just as a point of note have you seen the Blue cameras by the side of major roads? they are TM cameras
Cheers

i would disagree.....
I use the Traffic Master system, and have done so since i got my Omega.
It costs about £30 a year and is an active system that looks at where you are and what direction you are heading in, the blue cameras on the motorway and roadside pick up traffic info so as to judge the speed of traffic etc.
Used WITH a good sat nav system i have been able to navigate round serious issues in the past, however i would say of you are not doing serious mileage or travelling on roads that are know to have issues then it might not be worth spending on

Cheers everyone. Thanks for a quick reply on this :y

Same here.... been renewing it every year since the car was new. Partially because it is useful if you know how to use it, and partially because I can't have a button in the car that does not do anything...

If you combine Traffic Master with the VX /Siemens Sat Nav it works well - practically speaking if you are forewarned by TM of a problem at a futre stage of your journey you switch Sat Nav into for example non Motorway Mode and therefore are able to avoid the problem.
However - you have to be a little streetwise - TM can give you a warning and then the road can become clear quite quickly - so try and combine the data from TM with other sources such as ringing 240 on orange
