Title: 2.5Td Coolant change
Post by: max_the_mole on 12 January 2008, 18:27:39
Hi guys!

What's the best way to drain and flush the coolant in a 99 Omega 2.5TD??

Also how much coolant does it hold?

Cheers

Don't know how to drain the system but the cooling circuit holds 10.2 litres with manual transmission and 10 litres with automatic.

Also, only use anti-freeze 90 297 545 / 19 40 656 and ensure a concentration of 50%.

Don't know which type that is, but someone else will be able to help.

2 ways:

pull off the lower pipe to the rad.

The other way is to remove the engine plug.... this is on the drivers side right at the back of the engine. This is the better way to get all the coolant out.

Someone with a TD will confirm its exact location

drain tap on rad to drain that, engine drain plug on block, which empties that :)

only the 2.5td has a block drain.
