Would anyone have a full set of Senny or pre 1998 lether seat for the boys just do not look the same on these new one,s. But what a great show nice to have them back it think just what sunday are about :y
-
Yep, great to have them back again on Sunday night and up to their old antics. :y
As usual, very entertaining and funny as ever. Loved May's solution to lack of aircon in the Aston - stripped to the waist and cooling off by pouring a bottle of mineral water over himself!! ;D
-
They were right about the Stelvio pass too. What a road! :y
Descended that in the Omega in September. Wanted to turn around and do it again at the bottom but
a) SWMBO was a nervous wreck
b) I'd already collected one biker with my front bumper (all fixed now)

Ow yes, Stelvio is one hell of a road....
Laidback drove 2/3 of the way up it from the Bormio side at a reasonably leisurely pace and I drove the last third at one hell of a pace......and then down the other side!

He got the raw deal there! ;D The first bit out of Bormio was a bit narrow. That's where the biker used me as a barrier. It got much better further up!
Noticeable lack of power from the 3.2 at altitude. Went like a 1.2 Nova at the top, but I didn't seem to be suffering as badly as most. On one flat bit at the top (well, looked flat. Difficult to tell when you've climbed that much) I recorded a maximum speed of 75 MPH with foot to the floor.
Got to take the Westfield there one day, but must fix the barometric correction on the Megasquirt first. It runs like a dog in the lumpy bits of Scotland at the moment so I'd be getting out and pushing on Stelvio ;D

I must admit, I'd love to give "the Beast" a blast on that road. 8-)

Go for it. Mine got the spanking of its' life all the way and didn't murmur. Temperature didn't go above 92 degrees. I hate to think how hot the transmission fluid was getting but it took it all in its' stride. Didn't once feel the brakes fade on the way down the other side either, which impressed me considering the weight of camping gear we had in the boot!

Well there you go then, next years OOF meet :y

What genius! There's a Cafe / Bar at the top. A huge car park for cam belt changes. The camping could be a bit chilly, though, :-/ and the footie game isn't going to be very energetic at that altitude. ::)

Perhaps we should get a couple of cars together for a banger rally next year.....

that road is on my list of things to do before I die.....will drive the missus mad going up and down there all day :-)

I still think we should have a meet at the LeMans 24hr race :y

You know I am up for that :y

Sounds like a plan.... :y
I'll play.... ;D

Hmm Me too. On both counts. I know a nice camp site near Le Mans. Not camping in the dirt at the track but in the manner we are accustomed to.

I may have to take the roller skate, though. It'd sulk if I went to Le Mans without it. So would I ;D
It is a great atmosphere there, though. Petrol head heaven and something for everyone. Am thinking about doing the classic Le Mans next year. See some proper cars racing there!
