The first owner must have had some extra money to play with when they ordered the car, as the sat nav & phone can be fitted as an optionial extra's on the MV6

I Asked they have any service papers or not.No..Cambelt change left 7000 KM.autobox not in good cond.Price 7200 £ approx.

After that the decision : ABSOLUTE NO..

Sunroof is standard on all pre-facelift MV6, it was effectively CDX spec plus HIDs and sport seats. Facelift MV6 is lower spec, more like CD plus HIDs and sport seats.

Prefacelift MV6 is CDX minus cruise spec. Facelift is CD spec. Hence prefacelift MV6 has sunroof, climate, phone (if 1999 model year) etc as standard. Satnav was an option.

Just had a look and it's pricey... OK it's got nav and phone, but realistically how useful are those these days? Nav is well out of date and who can be bothered taking their SIM card out every time they get into the car :O. The leather makes it a bit more desirable, but at £2.5k for an automatic pre-facelift I don't think so!

If the mileage is genuine, thats not bad price.

I don't think mileage is a huge deal on these cars, it's more how they've been maintained. Considering you often see higher mileage, but well maintained, examples going for around £1500, I don't think the low mileage is worth paying 66% more for. Besides, if it's an automatic you might as well get an Elite which has the sat nav plus other goodies as standard, and you'll find one cheaper too as there are so many of them to choose from. OK you get crappy sofa-like seats and 16" wheels, but I don't think that MV6 is worth the price.

:)I'll be looking for a low mileage pre facelift MV6 soon& wo'nt mind paying the money for the right one but why are so many MV6's auto? Nothing wrong as such, i've owned & enjoyed big auto Jags, BMWs, Datsun Laurel & a Toyota Crown? Cressida?(long time ago) A nice CDX or Elite is a lovely auto as is the MV6 but it seems that the majority i look at are autos. I thought MV6's were the sport model but i hav'nt seen a manual for sale for ages.

Cos Omegas are generally bought by old geezers that find driving a chore, so the less effort they have to expend the better  ;D

I'm surprised there are so many slushy MV6s too... if you want a relaxed, lazy driver then why not buy an Elite? The (slightly) sportier MV6 only makes sense to me as a manual, but you'll pay a premium for a good manual MV6 as they're more difficult to find hence in demand (as you and some other forum members have found). I had to pay a bit more for mine than I would have for the equivalent slushy, but I'll make it back in resale, not to mention not having to replace the gearbox ;)
