Hi Terry
Oil in header tank is most likely oil cooler.
If you are handy with a spanner, it's really not a bad job...
-
Hardest part of the job is getting to crud from the cooling system afterwards :-/
-
Oil cooler likely, not a bad job, though seems scary at first. Do things methodically, and its fine ;).
Do NOT be tempted to bend the oil pipes - get some crows foot spanners and undo pipes at filter end. Can't stress that enough - I ignored that advice, cause a load of grief.
-
Obviously, dont use car until fixed - the oil will be doing more and more damge to cooling system.
-
...and when the car overheats it will eventually cause head gasket failure if you keep driving it...or if you go to a mechanic...£100 for oil cooler and about 3-4 hours work...
