Hi firstly how do i upload pics so i can show u guys what i am goin on about on secondly i need to replace a psiton its the middle piston on the right hand bank when standing in front of the engine, i kind of have an idea but not 100%
Drain oil
remove baffle plate
undo bearing cap
push piston out.
i think anyway has anyone done this and can give me some pointers and anything o watch out for.
ps i want to do this with the engine in the car still.
if you see my previous post you will know why i am doing this.

Engine out is probably the easiest way.
In theory you could drop the sump and undo the big end cap bolts but I'm not sure the whole sump will come off without lifting the engine anyway. Even if possible it won't, IMHO, give adequate working conditions for doing the rest of the job, where cleanliness is vital.
I think I'd be looking at a 2nd hand engine, even if just a temporary measure while I put the old one on an engine stand and rebuild it properly.

I Assume you've removed the head, and sump. Remove Big End Cap, Push Piston out, Gudeon Pins are an iterference fit so you'll need to use a suitable drift. To replace pin, bake the piston, freeze the gudgeon pin and drift into place, aquire/borrow piston ring compresor slide piston back in connect big end cap (Right way round) to correct tourque and reverse sump / head removal sequence. Or as in previous messages replace engine and do a complete overhaul of the original engne.
