Well it's finally started. Spent some time on the Meega at the weekend and did two minor jobs -
1. cleaned the ICV. First time have got my hands dirty, and maybe it's just my imagination but the car seems smoother. Haven't gone too far as yet though, and appreciate that I'll need to do the throttle body and breathers to complete the job, but hey, one step at a time!
2. changed the side repeater lenses for clear ones. I know it's not much of a mod but I think it was worth it. It updates the look of the car and matches in with the already clear indicator lenses.
Don't think I would have done anything at all if it had not been for this forum and all its members. Gaining knowledge every time I look here, and a wee bit of confidence.
Happy days!! [smiley=happy.gif]

much the same for me, before I got my first omega I didn't really do much past changing wheels ... now I have a half-decent set of tools and knowledge of several jobs largely gained through other members of this forum :)
I fitted smoked side repeaters to my first omega (black), but clear ones to my second (gold) ... both make an improvement over orange in my eyes!
-
Yeah, definately. Mine is gold too by the way.
-
Where did you get the side-repeaters?
-
fleabay. Smoked ones here - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-Omega-03-94-07-03-Side-Repeaters-Smoked_W0QQitemZ300006147776QQihZ020QQcategoryZ10404QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem - plenty of other sellers listing clear ones too, both types come with amber bulbs. Albeit on both types I found that I had to file the tops and bottoms slightly as it was a bit too tight a fit otherwise ...
-
Yup - they look pretty good.

I got the clear repeaters from ebay - seller was vxmania, which is actually main dealer in Essex. I dealt by email mainly but found them to be very good. Weren't too dear compared to others either. I'll check for the details and part numbers if you want them, just pm me.
-
double-check the ones from vxmania, they may be the genuine Vx ones - in which case they're silver rather than clear (or at least from what I could see in the photos!) - great if your car is silver ... ::)
-
Genuine Vx clear ones are only about 3-4 quid each.....cheaper than ebay...
-
i got a price from vx £2.76 + vat each for clear ones !! ;)
-
Lucky for you - my Vx wouldn't or couldn't quote for them. One of the other users had told me about Vx but it was yet another dead end. It always seems to be the same for me. Maybe I should move house to a more meega friendly part of the UK! [smiley=lipsrsealed.gif]

Might have a look at these as mine is silver may give the car abit of individuality.

Vauxhall in Glasgow say they can supply for £3 each - they say theyre listed as Irmscher styling accessories. I'll see if they can actually produce them tho.

Be interested to know if they are available :)
Any chance of a part number.
