nothing, its a straight swap. Externally, in terms of size & connections they are exactly the same.

But if you have a 2.0, why on earth do you need an AR35?

An AR35 has a higher Gear ratio and will not be good for a 4 pot 2.0l

NOTE, that if you have 2.0 16V engine, you need AR25 FROM 2.0 16V!! Not from TD or V6. Otherwise you will have to change bellhousing and connection with driveshaft. Dont know if that's that easy so, better to look for an autobox from 2.0 engine.

Noticed it on the tractor - the AR35 seems to be higher geared.

So the general gist of it it i need to get a gearbox from the same car as mine then. 2ltr 16v.

If i get one of a v6 i would have to change the bell housing and the rear yoke. which apparently is not hard to do.... (i wouldnt know where to start and it sounds time consuming)

And getting one on a 2.5 or 3ltr is out of the question as is a AR35.

Still havent found one..... all the srappys round ours have AR35's and thats those that have any omegas most havent had any omegas scrapped for a while.

What about the yard at/near Botley? It's not too far away.

There must be one here (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=Botley,+Southampton,+Hampshire,+United+Kingdom&ie=UTF8&cd=2&geocode=0,50.914340,-1.269900&ll=50.918768,-1.231182&spn=0.002604,0.007135&t=h&z=18&om=0)
My get out clause if this isn't the place I remember, is that it's more than 20 years since I've been there.  :y  :y
