Title: facelift 2001 2.2 cd eml on

hello is it possible to paperclip these to get faultcodes ?? just bought one for me dad and seems to have a few problems eml light on is one and two snapped studs in ex manifold water loss and slight misfire at low revs !! any help apprecitated :y

2.2 can't be paperclipped, need tech2 reader, cheapo or real

yes. The software can be downloaded free. Some auctions link to the software.

You need the tech2 lead which goes to a COM port.

COM port to USB adaptors seam to be hit and miss if they work.

That should work on a 2.2 and it will be easier to get working than the cheapo tech 2. It will also read live data and codes from other OBDII cars. However, it won't read codes on older cars (2.5 and 3.0) nor on other systems in the Omega.  :-/

Depends what you see yourself using it for really.
