Title: Wheel Boar ??
Post by: duggs on 31 January 2008, 23:24:22
Oops..NOT that sort of boar....

I'm looking at some nice after market allows on sale that came from a 5 stud Vectra.  So far it looks like everything checks out OK in the comparisons between a Vectra and my Omega....EXCEPT the bore.

What EXACTLY is the bore and does it matter if they differ please ?

the bore will be the diameter of the hole in the centre of the wheel, this is helpful when mounting the wheel on the hub and it ensures that everything is central.

you can get adaptors that will take up the difference in the bore.

one other thing to remember Vectra is FWD and so the offset (et number) could be different, this will have an effect on the handling

i think if you use spiggot rings, they are hard plastic rings, they come in deifferent sizes and take up the difference. a tyre place or someone on here will be able to tell you what size you will need.

bore should be 65.1, i believe the newer Veccy is also 65.1 but the older one is 56.1

other than that the only other difference is tyre size
