For Vauxhall Dearlerships to dissapear almost over night ?
Was in my local one - Evans Halshaw in Airdrie about 10 days aga and all was normal...
Passed it today and its empty, no cars outside, no cars in showroom, parts department empty and boarded up.
They never mentioned anything and had no signs of closing down/packin g up or even of heavily discounting stock :o
So i need a new local....

I wouldn't have thought so!
No chance that they've moved, and had the usual lack of courtesy to actually tell anyone?
-
Thats a strange thing to happen markie, they may have moved to new premises, but sureley they would have advertised it. :o

One of our local Audi dealerships upped and moved 5 miles away, one day there was S6s, RS4s, and TTs (ugh)... next week, they'd all gone...

you`d have thought so but no advertising and nothing on the building to suggest where they had moved too.....
Knowing Airdrie as i do, its pretty small town, theres not many premesis available they could move into :(
further investigation methinks....

I`ve just checked the vauxhall website.....there not listed now :o all the dealers that come up on postcode search i can relate to so no new ones.......so they have just vanished.

It's possible they went bust, but even then I'd expect the administrators to try and recoup some of the losses by selling the assets. Saying that it's quite possible that any stock they actually owned simply went to auction and the premises reverted back to the leasing company.

In this area, there was a VX dealer called Charville Bros that had premises in Ware, Cheshunt, Bishops Stortford and Harlow. One week they were there, the following week they had all closed. :-?

Possible if it was making a loss that the Pendragon Group (who own Evans Halshaw) just closed it.

And knowing their custoemer service, lack of knowledge and lack of parts in stock i presume they wouldnt have been overflowing in cash :(

My local one was shut down by GM HQ for warrenty fraud :o

Everyone knows GM cars don't break down ::)

If the Immingham Stealership "did one" overnight i doubt anyone would notice.

Perhaps they had a clearance sale that just got completely out of control ;D
