Who uses who? I use Quinn-Direct, the cheapest I have come across to date.  :y
Found them through www.confused.com

I'm using hyperformance, cos they undercut the cheapest quote I got from confused by £30, without even asking for proof!

When I changed from company car to private, in 2004, after near on 20 years of company car use, I needed a company that would give me NCD even though I hadn't held a policy in my own right for all that time.

Tesco came up trumps and I got insured for under £400 fully comp.

Stuck with it for a year and come renewal time I shopped around and the cheapest came up as Direct Line. Phoned Tesco to see if they could match it and I got some yoof who was obviously having a chat with the girls in the office who couldn't be bothered. I asked for my NCD cert to be sent out to me which he did. Been with Direct Line since then and they are still cheapest when you take into account the level of cover you get.

You can get cheaper but do read the policy cover. It is too late to find that things are missing when you have had a prang and you can't get to work on Monday morning.  :y

How old of a fart are you then? I'm a 45 year auld fart (can't be much difference ;D) but mine was around £450 last year with a clean(ish) :-X  licence. It was £220 for this diseasl Astra early in the year cos I was starting out from scratch. I must live in a somewhat higher risk area :(
I suppose I should do the phone rounds again as it's due for renewal on Tues  :'(

Have you got about 20 points?  ;D

That's almost as expensive as my BMW insurance, which coincidentally is also up at the end of November :'(

I think the meega is less than £300, can't remember. It's TPFT though as for one I don't expect to crash it ;) and for two it wouldn't be worth the claim anyway with the £500 excess and paltry value they'd give for it.

Mine is with Direct choice. £364 fully comp with 1 year NCD.  I went through confused.com and they were cheapest by a mile.  I was with AXA for my old car but they wanted about £200 more to insure the meega.

*mumbles something about being a hooligan yoof*

Ahem, erm, for my Almera 1.5, on a 55 plate... £1100. Yep, four figures. (Note to self, must arrange cancellation of this policy come the end of the week...) - that's with NU.

For the Omega 2.6 MV6... £1250. Yes, it's a lot. Yes, it's worth it. Yes, that's only £150 more for an extra 10 insurance groups up the ladder... :D

Oh, and that's through Norwich Union Simple Cover.
