smoke... bits... debris... its ace seeing it appear from the back of the car :y
Figured out why the Elite felt like it was down on performance even after the new leads were fitted... backbox was blocked... Actually sounded like an air-leak during acceleration. Car did pull fine, just sometimes it 'lacked'
So heading home today, press the Silly button, go to overtake a lorry... Nope, not having it... Goes past somewhat slowly, and BOOOM!! Look out the rear, bits of crap flying everywhere, oh f*@k I think, expecting the worst... but no... The car then kicks forward and goes like a bat outa hell down the road! No warnings, lights, noises (other than a mighty Growl from the rear) Ace ;D
Actually looked like I'd sucked in a cat and blew it out the exhaust when I pulled up. Bits of that wool stuff everywhere, the backbox looked like a tin of beans had exploded on an open fire ;D ;D
Anyways, £90 later and a Very burnt bloke at the garage (apparently it went bang again when they were taking it off... Don't know!) and I have a new backbox fitted, and a much more pokier V6 :y
