Spray you Car black, then your silver alloys will look nice.

Ok, you could paint them, assuming you have prepared them, but I rekon there not going to last 5 mins.

If it was me and it was something that I really wanted to do (which it isn't) I would pay to get them professionally done...other wise leave them as they are.

Get them powder coated, cost about £20 per wheel and will give perfect long lasting finish

i painted the wheels on my 106 black from silver and its really easy.

I done it the "quick" way as i had to leave the next day for a show so far from the best but....

first of all i taped off the tyre (take your time as if you miss a bit its very noticable at the end), then got a good grey primer (acid edge rings a bell), i gave mine 2 coats drying and sanding in between in my specially made booth (2 clothes horses with sheets and 2 hair dryers  :y) then i used a black wheel paint from halfords, gave it 2 coats and jobs a goodun! your meant to leave it 12hrs between each coats but i done 4 coats in 1 night and drove 500+ miles the days after.

It obviously isnt as good as powder coating but no-one could tell the diffrence without getting really really close (and they were serious car buffs), 6 months on and theres a few chips but overall for £20 they still look really really good! id definetly do it again!

If you're going to do them your self, lightly cover the side walls of the tyres with baby oil, but make sure you don't get any on the rim. This stops any overspray from adhering that my stray.
If you've some over at the end, who knows what fun there is to be had  :o :o :o :o

personally I dont prefer black alloys..and dont advice to paint them..

but if you really want to do the job..

you have to sand the alloys with 800 grid paper..

Than use 2 layers of primary coat..

After drying use 1200 grid sand paper on them again..

Than 2-3 layers of metallic black coating and 2 layers of lack..
