Ever since I have had this car I've had a problem with the revs dropping too much on changing gear making it a clunky affair, especially when cold. In addition the EML flickers every now and again on gear change or when I have taken my foot off the accelerator and the revs have dropped. The car, however, idles perfectly
I took it to the local $tealers for a diagnostic on Monday and it returned the above error code with 'Fuel Quantity Control Out Of Range' as the description. The technician said it was the first time he had encountered this code and didn't know what it meant. He said it needed further investigation and that there would be a protocol for them to follow. No doubt followed by a big bill!!
Anybody got any suggestions as to what this code might be an indication of?
Cheers!

Strangely, I saw this fault at weekend.
A bottle of diesel magic, neat in the fuel filter, appears to have cured. I will find out when I next see the chap in a couple of weeks.

TIS sudgests checking the shielding to the injection pump actuator.....
The sheilding is actually fairly robust from what I remember.
I think its actually the track within the pump that gets dirty that causes this. It is possible to remove top of pump and clean it, but it it goes wrong, wave goodbye to an expensive item....

Cheers folks. Think I'll give the diesel magic a try. If that doesn't work I'll see about cleaning the track. Thanks for all the advice, This forum is great. :y
