Seems something could be wrong, I switch mine on and the light stays on until I press it again to turn off.
What the problem is I ain't got a clue other than a switch, but if both do it? :-?
Some one will be a long soon mate who will know :y

Rear seat switches are push-on/push-off I wonder if someone has been playing?
Just an idea.

the rear ones work fine,,, its the front switches in a row in the dash below the heater controls that are the problem

Sounds like they are faulty, if you need replacements I can sort you out a pair for very little money mate...
You could always try swapping the rear switches and putting them in the front...if all works as it should then its the switches so get some replacements :)

Yes I know. I wonder if someone has been playing & fitted rear seat switches to the front.

oh right get what you mean now sorry,, i would say the switches are standard,, the rear ones look a different type,,, same as my calibra ones.

Front and back switches should be the same, after all they do the same thing...how odd, maybe someone has switched the front ones with the wrong type??...I have loads of them anyway if you need some :) Maybe a pic of the front and back switches may help??

What model of Omega do you have? Facelift cars have push-on/push-off buttons in the back like the PREface lift cars but the the fronts have a switch that allows 3 different settings unlike the preface lifts which look & opperate the same front & back.

ok i`m getting my cars mixed up here,,, the omega as the same switches front and rear,,, its a 1996 on a P 3L elite,, i tried pressing them again and now notice that the rear ones seem to come on without touching,,, ?????? there must be something wrong ,, plus i`ve also noticed tha ton the heater controls the back lights only work on the left 2,, i saw them all working before,,, are they easy to take out or as the whole wooden facia got to come out as well? maybe that should be posted on another Q,,,
