At the Cambelt meet Kevin was kindly cleared a few code for me But one that was new to us as P1880 i think that is what it was. Would any one know what this one is for. By the way the Battey was flat before we had a jump start. Thanks for that mike d

Was that done with a real tech2 or a cheapo? Can't find any codes in TIS, which would suggest possibly a failure of tech2 to correctly read, or a corrupted stored code.
P1800 are normally associated around autobox, but even in the autobox ECUs (GS820 and GS821 - both fitted on 2001 cars), not specific P1880.

I was not a Tech 2 Kevin had it set up on his laptop. looked like it may have been a lod code.
Thanks

I thought it ended in 90. 1890? 1690? Can't remember. :-[
It might have been related to the "low battery voltage" situation.... ::)

P1890 is a valid GS821 gearbox code - CAN errors. Clear it, see if it returns.

That could be it Kevin 1890. Think it may have just been low batt. :y
-
Thanks guys will keep an eye on things. :y

Well I cleared all the codes at Donnington. You did have a few that related to the Autobox ECU
-
Seems to be runing well but will have a check on things.
Thanks.

I noticed it has its' original crank sensor, so could be that has played up and given the gearbox comedy RPM values. However, the engine ECU (only one I could check) didn't have any complaints about crank sensor. :-/
See how it goes, I reckon, and next time there's the opportunity, have a look at the codes in both engine and gearbox systems to see if anything has been stored.

And check ABS, as the 3 ECUs have a group chat via CAN

From memory (and it is just that!) the codes from the Autobox ECU were in the 17xx range and related to selector position amoungst other things.
EDIT
ABS ECU was clear and just the usual 3.2 emissions on the Engine. There was a low voltage code on the HID ECU as well but I think this was down to a flat battery at some point as mine had the same when I first got it but it hasn't re-occured.

This particular code may be from the fact that SP3.2 junior was playing and flattened the battery ;D

This was a couple of weeks ago at Donnington.

I did have the crank sensor change early Feb.

SP-3.2 junior had the dvd player on and the goodness knows what else on most of the day so i should not be to shocked the the batt was flat. ;D Little angel.
