Title: 2.5 TD Oil & Filter recommendations, Thanks!

Hiya guys, just a couple of questions about parts really..

I have changed the oil 4 or 5 times since having the meega (every 3 to 3.5k) and it gets a bit expensive buying 5l bottle at a time. I have heard some one mention bulk deals from Vx - does any one have any info? Does it cover the oil for a TD?

Also, I have taken this info from the excellent guide in how-to (that i first used many moons ago - thanks!) and wondered if it was upto date and the correct Part No. still?

2.5TD (filter element) from ENG no 34408417 - 93180093 £7.60 + Vat retail

I do have an ABS trade card (arrived yesterday) - would anyone know the trade price? (if available)

I have bought a Unipart one today for £12, then I saw the above price... >:(

with your ABS card you get 4 for 3 .. at trade club price as well ....  :)

Semi synthetic 10W40
5 litre part number 93165216
Offer price for four cans £28.53

so 20 litres for about £30 with VAT .... can't get cheaper than that .. :)

Wow!  :o That is cheap! I have been getting about 10 litres for that price. I will definately be doing that then - thanks entwood!

If the fuel filter price is correct then I shall be having a trip to Vx  with the trade card :)

Sorry I can't check any other trade club prices as the TC site is not fully functional right now, but experience shows that, at least at my stealers in Swindon, even if an item is not on TC list, they give me "trade discount" for flashing the TC card.

member andyc can usually help with prices / supplies .. he is very helpful and knows his stuff .. :)
