Post by: Martin_1962 on 12 October 2007, 18:45:42
Instructions include - do not use over 80mph - it works
Do not use in extreme situations eg towing - Stuff that I'm using gas

They say all this but I tow on gas happily

LOL.... well I doubt I'll ever tow with mine, but it's been at a lot over 80 MPH on several occasions (every time I visit a private air strip).

I hear some LPG users complain that on high revs their car shifts to normal fuel ..(especially on vectra 2.0, 2.5)

dont know about the kits brand though

Sounds like they're worried about it going lean under heavy load. If it's properly set up there shouldn't be a problem. However, you need a wideband lambda sensor to do that, and how many installers use one of those?

I'll have to rig mine up to fit an Omega. It needs setting up to give a simulated narrowband output so the ECU doesn't go into limp home when you remove one of the lambdas, probably something to simulate the heater being there so it doesn't detect an open circuit and then you can watch the fuel mixture in real time. That way you can give it maximum load and ensure the mixture is safe.

I mapped my Westfield on the road using it and it's a great piece of kit. For the price of one rolling road session I can keep an eye on the tuning whenever I want.
