Would anyone know the cost of a set of Track rod ends of a 3.2. Not sure but when it was up on the ramp at the weekend there was no play BUT you could twist them back and front i dont know if there are ment to do that.
Where would be the best place to get them and how do they come.
Thanks
Steve.

If its what I think you mean - yes they do that as normal - just pivoting on the ball joint at each end.
I seem to recall the last one I bought was 30 odd quid for the complete track rod (adjuster was seized).

Thanks for that. Thats good to know the :y

The adjusters have to be heated to free them off, half of the cars on the road must have seized adjusters due to their location on the car but many 'high-street' garages don't like applying heat and would rather you shell out for new parts.

I bet none of mine are siezed!
They all get removed when I buy a car and greased to buggery before re-assembly!

And I followed your advice when I replaced all track rods on MV6 (front only).
I suspect Wheels-In-Motion may be in for some fun with the tractor soon....

He grunted a bit trying to shift my rear tie rods.

Whatever you do don't get tie rods from Autovaux.
I'm on my 3rd set in a year - the rubber boots perish within 2 months.
Getting the replacements takes about 10 phone calls. Lot's of "they must be lost in the post" or "we didn't have your address" or "I'll phone you back".
The gem was that there was no better alternative - "these are OEM" - interesting since the 2nd lot were different to the first and the left and right were not a matching pair: one was grey the other black.
Still I can pop them off and get the tracking fairly close using a piece of string in about 10 mins now ;D
