Maybe they've sent the ECU of for reconditioning, takes a few days.
I think Entwood had his done a while ago.

Yup .. was a 5 day turn round from BBA-Reman who tested and repaired mine.
No idea how long the removal/refitting was as it was done by my mechanic .. :)

Mind if i ask how much it cost to have it repaired....and if you know the cost of one new from vx???
I think mine maybe duff (keep getting ABS light on) either that or its the ABS actuator valves. :-/

The repair and courier return was £125 I think... with a 2 year warranty.

BBA-Reman tested the ECU before carrying out any repairs, they then phoned my mechanic and told him it had failed for 3 items but was repairable, he then gave the go-ahead for the work to be done.
The ECU was sent by courier on the monday morning for "same day" delivery, the call following the test was at about 10 on the wednesday, the ECU arrived back at lunchtime Friday, I picked the car up that evening. I left for a 2 week holiday in France - towing - on the following Tuesday !!
If you have any queries phone them on 01634 230055.
I have no connection other than a very satisfied customer, they got my car back on the road for the holiday, at a very reasonable price IMHO

Im not querying their work.....im sure they very good :y
Its just vx guide to fixing my fault........it says change the abs ecu......if that doesnt fix it........change the actuator module........see what i mean.... :-/
But i guess they would tell me if the ecu was faulty or not.....
Cheers for that something to think about :y

I understand your problem ... but if they can test it and tell you its faulty or not ... at least you know where you stand .. the Vx way has you taking it off anyway.. and I believe - from what I was told at the time - that a new unit is £500 + and as it is electronic will not be taken back for refund if it is not the problem.
That is why my mechanic was very wary about just changing it, so went the BBA way .. when it tested faulty we were actually pleased/relieved.. as it removed any doubt.
A quick phone call tomorrow would get BBA actual information and might just save further problems ??
