Title: 7 seat conversion
Post by: bigphil1 on 12 March 2008, 18:22:24
Ive just seen a seven seat conversion on Ebay, didnt know you could get it in an Omega.  Does anyone know where and how much I can get one for?  I've included a picture.  Are they legal as there is nowhere for the feet to go.

Just had an email from the owner it was a factory fit option.  I wonder if they do it in leather?  I bet its pricey.

My previous Omega estate had these rear "Super 7" seats already fitted when I bought it. Provided they are fitted correctly they are perfectly legal and they have their own seatbelts and anchor points. As I didn't need it I sold it on the forum to Big Rod. I don't know if he ever used it or still has it but it might be worth dropping him a PM.

I have just received the following reply from a lady at luxury7.co.uk

"sorry new regs from the EU  !!! no longer allow this conversion" :'(

Quite what this means regarding existing conversions or the fitting of

2nd hand ones I dont know but a set for my estate would mean I

could get rid of the wifes pesky Zafira and replace it with the XK8 I,ve

always wanted !!
