Title: Autobox Repairs
Post by: star_whites on 14 March 2008, 22:08:23
Ive recently stripped and rebuilt the head on my 2.0 Auto 98 (mini facelift I think). However still have problems with it skipping 3rd. Also noticed that when stationary there is a load clinking noise coming from the region of the gearbox. Other than that it drives great.

Have decided I need to stip it down and check the thrust washer to see if its had it.

Does anyone know what parts I will require (i.e. seals, gaskets) and wheres the best place to buy them.

Also will I need any special size tools. Carry most standard tools plus everything needed to do the head.
