Title: self levelling dampers
Post by: bedders on 15 March 2008, 13:03:05
Hi,
My old friend has just failed an MOT on a leaking rear shock absorber (estate, self levelling). Does anyone know of a supplier of these, and the likely cost please? Whisper the answer!
Thanks. :'(

Well, the only source I have found is Vx:

they were about 100 + vat retail and 65 ish + vat trade club

You could always fit standard shock and do away with the self leveling.

Thanks for the quick reply. To be honest, I was expecting a lot more than that and as the car is maintained almost money no object (it's a beauty) I will replace with self levelling. :y
This trade card is worth looking into, it will be accepted over the dealers parts counter?
Thanks.

Had same problem myself recently. Self levellers are only available from VX.  Quoted me £120 each + vat.  Big discount with a trade card though- if you know someone who has one.
