Title: Paper clip test a little confused

just done the test and one by one all the lights went out exept the engine electronics immobilisor sign was flashing like this - --    - --    - --    - --, i cant see where i get a number from to find the fauilt code,  :-/

the ONLY time this light is on normally is when the ignition goes thru the start up etc, then its never seen again so to speak

its a bit like morse code,1 flash =1, 2quick flashes =2 etc; each code will repeat 3 times.the start of the test will be code 12 ,1 flash followed by 2 quick flashes,this will repeat 3 times.then if you have,for example a code 19 stored it will flash once followed by 9 flashes in quick succession this will also repeat 3 times at the end of the test code 12 will repeat 3 times to let you know that it has finished . hope that helps explain it :y

so if it just flashes code 12, that means that the only fault is code 12 but ther doesnt seem to be a code 12 on the list :-/

12 is not an error, it denotes the start and end of the test.

god i love this site, how much would it have cost me to find that out at vauxhall, the best part of 100 quid i rekon
