Its nothing to worry about, its caused by condensation due to short journeys, the next time you do an oil change try Vauxhalls own oil, it seems to be less prone to happen :y

What oil are you using?  Genuine Vauxhall oil tends to make this condition less evident...

Edit " Pete beat me to it I see...  same thoughts however!" :y

Agree: Been doing some short journeys myself and you guessed it (oil filler a bit scummy). Went to skegness at the weekend (about 90 miles) when i checked the filler cap on both journeys (Clean as a whistle)
You worry to much mate :y :y

I'd be concerned if it was clean when you left the place you bought it from and 3 miles later you have mayo on the cap.

Is it as bad as my wifes.....

Clean off as much as possible and have a couple of decent runs in the car and see if it reuturns....

As already said, short journeys and less than good oil is the main culprit....   ;)
