Title: Instant gasket??

hey guys would anyone advise using instant gasket for the throttle body and breather sump when cleaning breathers? :-/

No, use the gen vx gasket and vx parts. gaskets are pennys and false economy to use anything other. :y

Hi,
While I am sure we have all had to resort at some time to sealing compounds as a last resort, usually on a Sunday afternoon when everywhere is closed, BUT, it would be a much better idea to get all the correct "O" ring seals to do the job right.

thanks for that guys, just been havin problems gettin the breather sump gasket from the dealership, any1 know anywhere on the internet that supplies?? :y

Should be a standard part, can you try another dealer?

will give another dealer a ring tomorrow, there none in my town (hamilton) the nearest is motherwell then its east kilbride but shall try :y

well phoned up vx dealer in east kilbride, they got tb gasket but not the breather sump but they're gonna try and order it in for me but it might mean i gotta buy 10 of them lol and they're gonna post it out to me which is fantastic, cheers for the help guys, can remember usin intant gasket when changing the thermostat on my old mondeo, thats why i thought of it  :y

I just put one of these on oro's car during cam cover gasket change and it came in a pack of 2 IIRC.

I've never had any trouble to buy them in singles, although I usually buy 4 at a time.
