Title: New Key
Post by: Ralph on 03 April 2008, 18:14:14
Just had a quote from local Vx dealer, £88 + £25 to supply & code a new key I'll bet they want VAT on top as well.

Are there any alternative sources of supply?

Thanks

Thats about right for Vx.you can source them on ebay now and again, make sure its the correct key, you will still need to have the car matched with the key though, you will need the car pass.

Hi Miggy,

There are a couple 3 button remotes on ebay that look the same, how can I tell if they are the right type?

facelift horseshoe blade with transponder costs me about a tenner, fob from ebay, about the same, maybe bit more. Then pay to have blade mechanically cut, and transponder and fob programmed to car (http://theboy.omegaowners.com)
