Post by: JamesV6CDX on 15 October 2007, 21:14:04
... As a standard, steel wheel, 5 stud 16 inch, that will fit the Omega, and take a 225/55 tyre? Cheers

If the offset and PCD are the same....

Remember all manufacturers use different PCDs and offsets.

I believe Vx ones are all 15".  Why Steel wheels - the 225 tyre is too wide to fit saloon spare wheel area?

Testing reasons.

Do you think I'd stand a chance, of getting a matching alloy for my car?

Unfortunately, a longer run has identified that a VERY slight vibration may still exist. It's a million times better, it may even be in my mind (one can become paranoid to these things!)..

Can't remember for def, but yours had fairly std CDX alloys? If so, shouldn't be that difficult to obtain with a little effort and time.

Sets of four come up from time to time on eBay, I guess you'd have to take a flyer on them being ok though..... Still your only really after one good one out of the four.

You might be better off having a ring around breakers yards, or some of the breakers on eBay, for a single wheel, they are more likely to get cars in that have buggered up 1 or 2 wheels if when cars have crashed. People are likely to want to sell whole sets.

Hello chaps...
You can fit a 225/55/16 spare in the boot of a saloon although you wont be able to use the cover that hides it.
i exchanged my steel spare which was a 16" for an alloy one....
