My mobile mechy came round to replace the rocker cover gaskets, he is a good mechanic, the gasket set i was given turned out to be for a c2.5xe not a x2.5xe engine, so any way, have to wait til tomos for the replacement, the mechanic has just phoned me as he thinks my engine is not a 2.5L but a 3.0L as the gasket set for the 2.5 comes with 2 seperate banks for either side, the 3.0l has the 2 banks joined, is there any way to tell if its a 2.5 OR 3 LITRE, ALL MY PAPER WORK SAYS 2.5, MY MECHY SUSPECTS THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A BIGGER LUMP PUT IN IT.
the car is currently in bit in the drive :'( :'( not for long tho :y

The Vectra camcover gaskets have a web joining the two halves.
Omega ones are separate.

Same gasket is used on Z32SE Vectra, Z32SE Signum, X30XE Sintra, C25XE & X25XE Calibra, C25XE Cavalier & X25XE, Y26SE, X30XE & Y32SE Omega engines according to Vauxhall's parts catalogue and is a two part gasket PN 90511451.
