Can anyone help, not getting a lot of heat out of my elites heating system, goes warm but not hot when set to HI, any ideas?
Cheers

What does the temp gauge say?
-
engine heats up fine sits just above 90 and is steady
-
Has the heater just stopped working or has it never worked.
-
since iv had it about 2 weeks only just started using heat setting due to cold weather. Had air con regased by vauxhall. I mentioned it them, they said all seems fine

I would start by flushing the cooling system, there is a drain plug on the bottom of the radiator passenger side. I would also reverse flush the heater matrix but you will have to remove the two pipes which are located on the drivers side at the rear of the engine, they fix to the matrix at the bulkhead.

You might need to flush out the heater matrix or maybe the Heater Bypass Valve is playing up :-/
-
how long would this take, is there any pics to look at any where?
-
This was done on a 2.2 but its similar http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1167917774

And these are the pipes which are connected to the matrix :y

Flushing the matrix is an excellent idea, but don't be led into thinking it's not obstructed because a garden hose will show flow.
The coolant circulation pump seems to have little ability to overcomr resistance.
Try blowing into one matrix pipe with the other open, if you can feel much resistance, enough of the core may be obstructed to reduce it's heat output dramatically. A new one has little resistance to blowing.
It's also an awfull job to change, I have tried compressed air on my old one, out of the car, it seems able to withstand a good blowthrough and a fair amount of rubbish came out.
It now feels less resitant to my lung test.
I may try a pressure washer on it and see if that shifts any more debris.

I put some fernox household central heating system cleaner through my dads MV6, that shifted loads of sh-- rubbish ::)
-
have the little arms popped off the servos for the flaps? The two that are easiest to get at (relative).

It's also an awfull job to change,
I done mine and thought it was quite easy. quite time consuming mind you (a week working maybe an hour a night) but compared to the only matrix ive done before on a peugoe 106, it was a doddle
