After my ignition switch packing up at the weekend and ordering a new contact block which arrived today I was hoping to get it all back together .
But no such luck the contact block fitted ok then I noticed that the end of the key section the actual barrel had snapped off two it really could only happen to me . I could not remove the barrel I knew the key had to be in place and in positon 2 but I still could not get it out . did I miss something :question . I have a spare lock which I am hoping will fit for now until I get a lock . I know how to get around the immboiliser well I think I do ::) anyone any idea how much a lock to suit my key is going to cost

Take it apart & swap the tumblers aound. There are only so many tumbler profiles & if you're patient you can make a barrel fit a key. I did it with my Manta that came with 3 keys, & my Carlton that'd had another ignition barrel fitted at some time in its life. Another barrel's worth of tumblers from another lock will probably come in handy, and if you end up with the odd one tumbler that won't play ball, it can be filed 'to suit'.
