Title: Silver wheel paint.
Post by: Olympia5776 on 04 April 2008, 15:41:40
Has anybody got the paint code for the silver paint used on Vauxhall alloys. I've just got a set of 17"Elite wheels and there is only one small area that needs a light repair .This could easily be done with an aerosol some 1500/2000 grit prod. paper and some some lacquer.

I think any VX star silver will do on an alloy. Remember not to lump the paint on, mist it on & you should be able to hide any repair

Used Autoglym silver wheel paint. U-pol UV resistent lacquer and then cut with 2000 grade wet and dry then compounded.
Beautiful finish except there is a shade difference.  :'(
I'll have to do it again but this time using a heavy metallic silver and paint the whole wheel.
Whats the code for VX Star silver metallic ?
